Coming Down From The Giant  Buddha on Lantau Island via Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car. Tung  Chung can be seen to the right in this picture. An area that has recently seen substantial growth.  Chek Lap Kok Airport (which can't be seen in this picture) is to the left of the cable cars in this picture. It is known as one of the busiest airports in the world. The airport terminal itself is a work of art and one of the largest  in the world.  In the below water inlet, you may see villagers with their pant legs rolled up digging for clams if you go during the right part of the day.

The Giant Buddha as Seen From Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car.  To the left and just below the Giant Buddha lies Po Min Monastary.  A once religious retreat now serves as a tourist destination. Just to the right of the Giant Buddha sits Ngong Ping Village. Recently just completed, this area has a traditional chinese look, without any of the history. Brand new shops line the walkway between the Giant Buddha and the cable car down to Tung Chung. Souvenir hunters will have a hard time leaving without picking up something to remind them of their experience.
